ORGANIC COFFEES
Organic coffee is grown without synthetic chemical pesticides or herbicides, using only natural fertilizers and sustainable agricultural methods that protect soil quality, water resources, and the native environment. Organic coffee must come from independently certified farms, be purchased by certified importers, and roasted by certified roasters to maintain the product’s integrity. At each step in the processing chain, audit trails track the coffee beans as they move from source to cup. .
SHADE GROWN / BIRD FRIENDLY

Shade grown coffee is grown naturally on farms in the tropical rainforest working in harmony with existing trees and vegetation. Shade grown coffee is nestled under a canopy of shade trees that provides habitat for birds and other species, enriches and conserves soil, and in many cases, decreases the need for chemical inputs. Shade grown coffee thereby contributes to protection of natural habitats and tropical forest conservation in countries where coffee is produced.
